I filled my bear tag this morning on the mountain behind our house. I had to make a 500 yard shot. The bear weighed close to 300 pounds. My friend, Jamie, is here from Missouri with some friends to hunt, and he got to be with me for my bear hunt. A big thanks to Jamie and the guys for helping me get it out.

Great job, Mike! What a shot! He's very nice and huge! Wayne and I have been golfing this summer - guess we're getting old - but anyway we're having fun. The course is across from an elk farm. It's been making the Colorado sickness even worse as he hears those elk calling, but it's like the perfect setting pretty scenery, golfing (with his wife) and the elk :o)
